Maggie and Al Brogdon

Our brass quartet played at quite a few Christmas markets in Germany and Austria .  We had a good time, and enjoyed the amazed reactions of the local people when they learned that we had come from America to play for them!

And now, Maggie and I are looking forward to another musical tour with two of our long-time Dixieland jazz musician friends in February and March.  As you see, we try to have interesting vacation travel!

We were met in style at the Munich airport

We drove to Munich one evening so I could play with a local
(and very good) Dixieland jazz band (that's me on the right)

The other three couples (Maggie and I were in the front seats); the Trafic had
plenty of room for eight people, our luggage, and six instruments -- including a tuba

My wife Maggie did most of the driving while I read maps and gave directions
(she found her new red hat in Innsbruck ) -- the Trafic would cruise at 160 km/h
on the Autobahns, and still have enough power to accelerate when needed

Auf wiedersehen ...
