WITH THE EURO-BUSTER PROMOTION, RENAULT
EURODRIVE SHORT-TERM LEASE PROGRAM HELPS AMERICANS STRETCH THEIR DOLLARS
Save up to $150 on Megane Convertible, Laguna
Sedans and Station Wagons and Nissan Murano SUV
NEW YORK, May
6, 2008 – Just as many Americans are wondering how to maximize their dollars for
a European vacation this summer, Renault Eurodrive announces it’s slashing
short-term lease prices on its enormously popular Megane Convertible, all
versions of its spacious and stylish Laguna, and on the luxurious Nissan Murano
SUV.
Americans have long recognized the value of the Renault short-term lease program
and have, therefore, become some of Eurodrive’s most faithful clients. Now,
Eurodrive would like to recognize that commitment by offering this generous
dollar-stretching promotion. While supplies last, Eurodrive customers can save
up to $100 when booking a qualifying manual transmission vehicle, and $150 on
qualifying automatics. Rates are based on a minimum 21-day lease on specific
models only.
During the Euro-Buster Promotion a 21-day lease on a Laguna III diesel sedan is
$1,699, down from $1,799. The upgraded Laguna III station wagon with automatic
transmission and an on-board navigation system is now $2,069, reduced from
$2,219. The Megane Convertible has been reduced to $2,179, while the Nissan
Murano with automatic transmission is discounted to $2,269. Additional days
beyond the initial lease period are $28, $28, $27 and $30 respectively. Leases
can be for up to one year, so the longer your lease, the more money you save. A
total of 12 models are available in the promotion.
How the Short-Term Lease Works
Similar to American leasing plans, the Renault Eurodrive lease is called a
"purchase-repurchase" plan. A factory-fresh new car is registered in the
customer's name. Renault finances the cost of the purchase. Customers are
charged only for the time they need the car. As in a conventional lease,
customers essentially buy a brand-new vehicle of their choosing and the
manufacturer agrees to take it back at a pre-arranged date. The lessor makes
just one up-front payment essentially equal to the difference between the buying
and selling prices.
The Renault Eurodrive program is designed for leisure and corporate travelers
residing outside of the EU who are staying in Europe between 21 days and 12
months. It's especially well suited for students, teachers, retirees, ex-pats,
and many others with similar arrangements. Plus, Renault Eurodrive is accessible
to drivers young and old. While many rental agencies require customers to be at
least 23 or 25 and no older than 70, Eurodrive's minimum age is set at 18 – and
there's no maximum allowable age.
What's more, in addition to a factory fresh car with unlimited mileage, every
Renault Eurodrive lease comes with full comprehensive insurance with no
deductible that is valid in over 40 countries.
Adding to the security Renault Eurodrive clients feel is the confidence that
comes with Renault's Europe-wide network of 17,000 service agents and qualified
service stations located all over Europe. In the unlikely event of a mechanical
problem, there is never a charge for parts or labor under factory warranty.
Should the need arise, based on contract conditions Renault can arrange for
towing and repair and help with car replacement, car rental, and hotel
reservations if necessary.
Renault's service and support network is extensive
including toll-free English-speaking roadside assistance available 24 hours
every day of the week. Leasing also means much fewer geographic restrictions
than renting. Virtually all of Europe is open to Renault Eurodrive customers,
with 39 Renault pick-up and drop-off locations in nine countries. The benefits
of leasing can be enjoyed in dozens of countries. Renault also makes it easy to
pick up in one country and drop off in another. Not only that, but the process
of ordering, taking delivery and returning a leased vehicle is as easy, if not
easier, than the rental process.
